Great Wall Of Hope: Advances In Energy And The Environment

Hey there. A few years ago, I spent a year travelling throughout China. Seeing sights such as The Great Wall and learning about the culture was the fulfilment of a lifelong dream. However, the one thing that struck me was the number of solar and wind farms I saw as I crisscrossed the country. There was even one city, Rizhao, which had solar panels on the roof of every building! Ever since then, I have sought out projects associated with energy and the environment in my travels. I especially liked the recycling plants in Sweden. I know that many people like to keep up with advances in the energy and environment sphere. Hopefully, this blog can help stimulate further interest. Feel free to browse at your leisure.

Two ways to avoid damaging the environment when restoring an old property

The process of restoring an old property to its former glory could potentially result in environmental damage if certain precautions are not taken. If you will be taking on a project of this kind, here are two steps you can take to avoid inadvertently harming the planet throughout the restoration process. Make sure that any asbestos you come across is disposed of in a safe and responsible manner If the property you will be working on is three or more decades old, it is quite likely that at least some of the materials in the house will contain the carcinogenic mineral substance known as asbestos (as this material was favoured by many builders during the 20th century, until it was found to be harmful to human health).
